I
burned through Violet Evergarden this weekend and it's pretty darn good
once you get past the super slow burn of the first two episodes.
It's AMAZINGLY gorgeous and thankfully not quite the emotional
gut punch I was afraid it would be, even though episodes 7 and 10 hit
me HARD.
I tried drawing Violet a couple times after watching the show but kept
striking out. I came back to her a few days later, this time
sketching on paper instead of on my tablet and ended up with a doodle I
was pretty happy with. A bunch of inks and colors and tweaks
later I'm still very okay with this. :D
