Like a lot of TransFans, this year's Transformers Animated theme at BotCon has me pretty pumped so I wanted to do some fan art. I'm not a big fan of the character, but I really like the TFA Blackarachnia design so I thought I'd take her out for a spin with my own style.

My take on Blackarachnia is a mix of the toy and the cartoon, but it's mostly based on the toy since the figure was right in front of me when I drew this. I really like the way the spider mandibles became part of her midsection so I used that, same with the legs on her forearms. I borrowed more from the cartoon when it came to her lower legs since they were a lot like the boots I normally draw and I gave her some scary looking stilettos as a finishing touch. :3
