Here's
the packaging art (and also the prereg badge art WOW!) for TFcon
2012's exclusive SHAFTER! :D
I was asked to throw this piece together pretty fast to meet the boxart
print deadline and I was happy to do it. 2012 was my first time
at TFcon and this was a great way to kick off the festivities way in
advance. The character is obviously all about fun so this was a
joy to work on, from his goofy expression to the bright, bold colors.
Even better, I learned that the final toy's colors were tweaked
during production to match my art! ^_^
Shafter here is the result of a long and hard process, but the climax
was worth every second!
...and you thought you'd get away without a joke, didn't you? XD
