If you've seen Your lie in April you'll know why I really wanted to draw something like this. I spent a lot of time on this to make sure I got it "right." I think it worked out, though I might have spent too much time on it (mostly because I'm an idiot XD). Kaori's proportions are less like the anime and lean more towards my own style, probably so I'd feel more comfortable drawing the pose I was wanting to.

This is a Kaori that's been a WIP off-and-on for the last few months since I bit off more than I can chew with this idea. Every time I opened the file to work on it something would scare me off, like having to draw all the stickers on her violin case or coloring the crazy hair I drew for her. But a few nights ago it was finally one of those "Suck It Up, Buttercup" moments to finish Kaori here up because it was turning out pretty good. ^_^

Her pose was fun to draw but little details in the lineart went through a couple friends for second opinions to get it as energetic as I could (too many folks to name, you nerds know who you are so THAAAAANK YOUUUUUUU). The lineart is broken in places because I thought that look would be cool on a pic like this. I thought I was so clever doing that but then I realized it made coloring super hard because I couldn't use the inks to flat. After spending what seemed like an eternity flatting I realized that DUH I coulda flatted and THEN broken the lineart.

Let this be a lesson to you, kids! PLAN! XD
