I'm trucking away at the script for "The Devil You Know" comic and have been making a concious effort to doodle Megatronica a lot more in preparation. Megatronica's one of those outfits where I think I shot myself in the foot when designing it. Her and Megatron are a lot of fun to draw, but hell to color. Megatron's color scheme utterly bores me, and that's one of the reasons he doesn't have that big of a part in the first Optimus Prima comic. It's also the reason why I added a lot more red to Megatronica's outfit. That and the design has a lot of black reflective areas, which is the bane of my art existence. :/

But both play a big part in this new comic, so I've gotta put my nose to the grindstone and this pic is the result of that. And I have to say I'm h appy with how it came out (though I hope the pages featuring these two don't take near as long to color...).

Megatronica was drawn first, with a general idea of how she would be interacting with Megatron and the Decepticon Tyrant was drawn on another board. The initial idea was to have her standing with one foot on his hand and the other on his forearm (the original art had his left hand open), but after putting the two pieces together in Photoshop I felt she looked better perched along the length of his arm. So I adjusted her pose to match and closed his hand into a fist.
