I get a little misty-eyed whenever I watch this sequence, I won't lie. Because of my recent Disney high I thought I'd finally try to tackle some fanart from it. ^_^;

This piece was in the works for quite some time, about three weeks if I'm remembering right. It stayed on my desk forever while I changed the pencils over and over, and I had to leave it alone for days at a time so I wouldn't drive myself nuts over it. Surprisingly enough, drafting out the Beast wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Nailing down his features and such came pretty naturally during the pencils. Belle was actually the culprit of this one, with that big 'ol ballgown and fancy hair. I took some liberties on both obviously, and I think it turned out okay.

Like the Cinderella piece before it, I'm pretty pumped with how Belle's shiny dress turned out. I had some issues at first with making it TOO reflective where it ended up looking like metal, but after a few passes I was able to dumb down the shine to a level that I was happy with.

I'm not completely thrilled with little things, like Beast's expression and the lack of motion in the pose, but now that I'm more comfortable drawing these two I'm sure more art is in store down the road. ^_^
